Please read the following, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
Version: April 2024
This document highlights everything you need to know about your contract with The Welly Boot Bakery. We encourage you to read this Agreement carefully before placing an order. It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of all the below, before paying your deposit, thus accepting these terms and conditions.
POST COLLECTION/DELIVERY BAKED GOODS CARE AND CONSIDERATION
Once collected, The Welly Boot Bakery can no longer take responsibility for any accidents which may occur. Once delivered to the customer and change of hands has been completed with the product in an appropriate condition, it is then up to the customer to store and care for the cake as per our instructions. We advise storing all our products in the refrigerator (unless stated otherwise), and consuming within the suggested shelf life.
We will provide a 'Cake Care' Guide for all our celebration cakes and advise our customers to read this carefully to ensure their cake is kept as perfectly as possible.
For our Afternoon Tea, Graze Box and Menu Selection box collections and deliveries, the customer must ensure all measures are taken to keep the food cold until consumption in accordance with Food Standard Agency Guidelines on storing fresh produce. The Welly Boot Bakery is not held responsible for providing any storing facility once delivery/collection has occurred.
INGREDIENTS, SPECIFIC DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND SHELF LIFE
All our products are prepared in our home-run bakery kitchen. We pride ourselves on our 5* EHO standards when preparing all your orders. We do offer some 'free from' baked goods, and we do everything we can to ensure no cross contamination occurs. However, to ensure the utmost safety to our customers and those living with severe allergies, we must ensure that our customers are aware we cannot offer a completely isolated preparation environment, like some allergy specific bakers, as we do handle all allergens in our home-run kitchen.
We ask that all known dietary requirements are discussed with us when your bookings are made. We would recommend that anyone with a severe allergy does not eat our cakes. It is the customers responsibility to inform us of any requirements, and ensure their guests are aware of our production methods in relation to any allergies or intolerances. Accordingly, the Supplier (The Welly Boot Bakery) will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from the consumption of our products if inaccurate information has been provided by the Customer.
All products must be consumed within 2 days of collection/delivery unless stated otherwise.
FLOWERS AND OTHER CELEBRATION CAKE DECORATIONS
As a business, we are regularly checking and doing our due diligence on all items we use to ensure they, to the best of our knowledge are safe to use and be in contact with your cake. In relation to fresh, false, dried and silk flowers, we have the right to refuse application of any flowers provided by the customer or chosen florist, if we feel they are not safe to apply to the cake. We will fill out our HACCP assessment for all flower cakes to ensure we have taken the greatest care to ensure all floral decorations are safe to be applied to your cake. However, we do not take any responsibility for the ingestion of these products by a customer as all MUST be removed with great care before the cake is sliced and eaten (including our food safe Hamiltons Flower Tape, Wires, Posy Picks, Plastic Tubes, Sticks and any flower debris left behind).
PRICE QUOTES
Please be aware our price quotes are only valid for 7 days from the date of issue. Additionally, price predictions made for Weddings Cakes may alter slightly according with the cost of ingredients and additional products from the date of the deposit made to 'Secure the Date'. We will ensure all information is kept up to date and customers are made aware of any changes.
ORDERS
All orders must be made via our Enquiry Form on the website. All orders are entirely subject to availability, and we have the right to decline any bookings which have not been secured by an agreed deposit or full payment by the customer.
When a picture or photo has been provided by the customer of another cake makers product/design, we will endeavour to get as close to the discussed design as possible, but we will not be expected to create an absolute exact replica of another bakers creation.
PAYMENT, CANCELLATIONS, POSTPONEMENTS AND ALTERATIONS
All orders are only confirmed when an agreed deposit or full payment has been made to The Welly Boot Bakery.
If the Customer needs to cancel any order, The Welly Boot Bakery has the right to retain the payment made for this order if outside the outlined cancellation policy (see below).
'Our cancellation policy is that if an order is cancelled before 14 days, a full refund can be offered. If cancelled within 7 days of the order date, we can offer a 50% refund. And if it is in the 72 hours prior to the order date, we cannot offer any refund unfortunately. If within the 7 days, instead of the 50% refund, we can offer to reschedule the order in full for an alternative date; however, if the order is over £100, we do charge a £20 fee for this option. There is no time restraint in planning the new date, it just must be within the next 6 months. This new date proposed will be subject to availability.'
On occasion when we have to reluctantly cancel any order due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstance that affects The Welly Boot Bakery's ability to create an order for collection/delivery, a full deposit will be made to the customer within 7 days of this notification.
If any alterations are desired by the customer once deposit has been made, The Welly Boot Bakery has the right to decline any changes. However, we will always try our best to cater to any new needs.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
It is the Customers responsibility to ensure The Welly Boot Bakery has correct accurate delivery instructions prior to the delivery date. If the customer is not at the chosen location, time and date previously agreed, and we are not able to contact the customer, the product will be transported back to our premises and it will be the customer’s responsibility to collect the product at the mutually convenient time.
PUBLICATIONS
We reserve the right to use any image of a product made by us for publication at a later date.
We reserve the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions as required. However, you will only be subject to the T&Cs in place at the time you placed your order with us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our Terms and Conditions.
